Jealousy Vs. Admiration

I know I haven't updated with the videos I said I would, but I haven't had the viewer/reader number I was hoping for. I am extremely grateful for the people that spent the time to read my ramblings.  And as it continues I will add more blogs and videos, I really want to but it's a time vs. readers vs. motivation.

I'm posting now to half plus and half QQ a friend of mine who doesn't even know it.   He and his partner in magic are amazing, I've seen them in action and they perform amazingly.

They invited me to be a part of this, but due to work, lack of money and lack of motivation I didn't get out to perform with these outstanding magicians who have now proved them selves publicly and now have good reputation as a credible magic duo in South Australia.

I love their work and love them (Seb I've only met you once but have seen you perform a few times online, you're rad) but hate the fact that I missed the imperturbably to perform with them.  So I kinda love them and hate their guts :-)

My point of this post is PLEASE, PLEASE if you have the opportunity to perform - no matter what the venue or credibility, just get out there and be a part of your art.  It feels so good to perform and make people smile which I haven't for far too long.  Hopefully that gives you a reason to read my blog and not discourage you to, as I have a burning passion for the art and hope you do too.  Weather it's just harassing your friends who will give you the most honest feedback to performing, or for random strangers which is extremely scary but amazingly exhilarating at the same time.  And will hopefully hopefully drive you to perform more.  I love playing with my deck as much as I love my girlfriend (which is a crapton = actual metric amount), but I love performing  for random people more than is humanly normal, which I know a lot of you do too.  GET OUT THERE.  I will read this myself daily, to motivate me.  I promise to add some videos soon to jazz the blog up, but if you get anything from this - don't waste time you could be performing.  Weather it's paid or just for the love of the art or if you're recognised enough to make a few bucks/living , it's all amazing.  Either comment here or in the T11 forums, let me know if you read/enjoy or want me to blog about anything in particular.  I also have future plans to podcast this blog, which will run longer than what you read and will of course feature more videos.  Again, please comment ans request things you want to hear me discuss or pull apart.

Again, if your curious, my magic history includes over a decade of moderate practice and performance.  I have had some professional experience (paid work) but prefer magic as an art at the moment.  I enjoy it as a hobby and a passion, but look forward to the day I make it a living, as I'm sure I'll love it.
